A Day at the Beach!                  

On Friday, May 27th we went to Ferry Beach in Scarborough. We had been watching the weather closely and even that morning, it did not look great. Under cloudy skies, and a few drips and drops, we boarded the buses. Our weather luck was with us as the rain held off. The weather improved as the day went on and we had a wonderful time exploring. 

The tide pools at Ferry Beach are amazing. We got to see many of the ocean plants and animals that we have been studying including periwinkles, clams, mussels, crabs, hermit crabs, fish, sea stars and more! We found beautiful and interesting shells and rocks, and Ms. LaRosa got to admire each and every one of them. We even saw some shells with the little holes drilled in them that we learned about from Mr. and Mrs. Fish.
